How we work

How this UAE forex guide is researched, sourced and updated

Every claim here traces to a primary source, and anything that changes is dated and checked again.

Updated Sep 2026 · how we rate brokers

Primary sources come first, and secondary reporting only fills gaps

This guide is built from primary documents: regulator registers, official rulebooks and the published terms on a broker's own pages. Where a fact cannot be traced to one of those, it does not appear. That is why you will find fewer numbers here than on most forex sites, and why the numbers you do find come with a place to verify them.

The SCA licensed companies register at sca.gov.ae is the starting point for anything licensing related. For firms outside the onshore regime, the relevant register is the one kept by the DFSA in the DIFC or the FSRA in the ADGM. A licence entry tells you which of the three regimes a firm sits under, and that in turn tells you who handles a complaint.

Session times are quoted in Gulf Standard Time, UTC+4, because that is the clock your platform shows. Sydney runs 02:00 to 11:00 GST, Tokyo 04:00 to 13:00, London 12:00 to 21:00 and New York 17:00 to 02:00. The London and New York overlap falls at 17:00 to 21:00 GST, which is the busiest window for most readers here.

Numbers that belong to a broker are never copied into this guide

Spreads, commissions, minimum deposits, leverage caps, withdrawal limits and processing times change without notice and vary by account type and entity. Rather than publish a figure that may be stale by the time you read it, this guide tells you where the live number sits: the broker's funding page, the fee schedule linked from the account agreement, or the confirmation screen inside your banking app.

The same rule applies to payment methods. Bank transfer is the main rail used by UAE residents, with local bank transfer, card and international wire also available depending on the firm. Which of those your account supports, and what it costs, is stated in your own account area and nowhere else reliably.

Tax treatment is personal and depends on your residency and circumstances. This guide does not state rates. If you need a figure for your situation, ask a licensed tax adviser in the UAE rather than a website.

Review cycles are tied to what actually changes

Regulatory pages are checked on a regular cycle, because a register entry can change quietly and a firm's status matters more than any other fact on this site. When a regime, a register location or a complaint route changes, the affected pages are rewritten rather than patched.

Market structure pages, such as session hours and the London and New York overlap, are reviewed less often because those hours are stable. Time zone handling is checked whenever the UAE or a major market changes its daylight saving arrangements, since that shifts the GST equivalents.

Broker-specific content is deliberately out of scope for this methodology page. It is handled elsewhere, and no firm is described here as licensed, safe or best. You check that yourself against the register, and you check it on the day you open the account, not the day you read about it.

Corrections, gaps and what this guide will not do

If a fact cannot be verified, it is left out rather than softened with vague wording. A missing figure is a smaller problem than a wrong one, particularly where money movement or regulatory status is involved.

Corrections are made at the source level: the page is amended, not annotated with a note at the bottom. Where a change affects how you would act, the wording is rewritten so the current position is the only one on the page.

This guide does not forecast markets, does not suggest that any strategy produces a particular result, and does not estimate returns. Forex trading carries risk of loss, and nothing here should be read as advice to trade or as a promise of any outcome.

Trading forex and CFDs on margin carries a high risk of losing more than you deposit. Most retail accounts lose money. Nothing on this page is financial advice.
